Please vote today. You may not think your vote counts, but it does (see the presidential election of 2000 for proof of that!). Politics is an ugly business, there’s no doubt about that. It’s dirty and underhanded and dishonest, and those are the good days. But if we don’t vote we have no right to complain about what we get. The only chance we have of making things better/different/more to our liking is if we exercise our right to vote.
I would hope that you would vote for candidates who believe all the citizens of this country deserve access to health care, and that big government is not necessarily evil (there have been many times when it has helped). But that’s me, and that’s as close as I’m going to get to pumping an agenda.
