Fiddling with the site

I’ve spent the last hour or so monkeying around with site maintenance gee-gaws. I realized I hadn’t activated the Askimet plug-in, which monitors and filters out spam from the comments. (I can’t believe how many Russian spammers have hit me so far!). I also added a plug-in to monitor web traffic. It’s not Google Analytics, but rather a plug-in designed for WordPress sites. I’ll see how this works and if I find it lacking I’ll probably make the move to Google Analytics at that time.
