I’m thankful that the hangover I have isn’t worse. No, I’m really not a party animal. I’m very much a social drinker, and I usually stick to rum or gin because they don’t have a terribly adverse affect on me and they don’t give me hangovers.
Cue last night.
I was out with some friends at the Comedy Zone in New Cumberland (a sleepy little town across the river from Harrisburg) and did indeed start the evening with some coconut rum and Diet Coke. But afterward the posse decided to go dancing downtown and it just seemed easier in a crowded, noisy, smoky bar to get a bottle of beer (the always awful Coors Light) than try for a mixed drink. I had less than two (didn’t finish the second one) since I was driving.
But two was enough to give me a slight brain-feels-like-a-dried-out-sponge headache this morning. Some water and Tylenol and it’s almost gone, for which I am also thankful.
So have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone. And stay away from Coors Light.
