Here are links to some Web sites I like to frequent. Enjoy!

  1. Your Daily Grind - My best friend, Eric DeWalt, just opened a coffee shop on the Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg, in the Carpet Mart Plaza. So if you're in the area stop on by and say hello. The coffee and food are great, it's a fun atmosphere, it's a wi-fi hotspot, and there are some computers there to amuse the kids.

  2. Eos Books: The Next Chapter - My publisher has put out their own blog, with information about who they are and links to their various writers. It looks like it will become a good place to get "insider" information about the publishing biz from the publisher's POV. (It's also nice that they listed their authors alphabetically, which puts me sixth down from the top!)

  3. AVScience Forum - The best home theater site bar none. If you need to know about some aspect of home theater or high definition technology, this is the place to go. Not only do enthusiasts hang out here, but so do lots of industry "insiders" -- cinematographers for television and film, employees of major studios and software companies, engineers on the cutting edge of the latest technologies. etc.

  4. Home Theater Forum - Another great home theater site, focused more on the movies and television shows we all love rather than the technology itself.

  5. Chud - This is a film site that focuses on genre movies.

  6. Locus - The web version of the science fiction and fantasy comunity's best magazine about itself.

  7. SFFWorld - A good genre site with lots of reviews and a decent forum devoted to various writers and writers-in-training.

  8. Malazan Empire forum - Forum and web site devoted (mostly) to the works of fantasist Steven Erickson and his monumental Malazan Empire series.

  9. The Slush God - John Joseph Adams' blog, always an entertaining and informative read. (He's the assistant editor at The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction).

  10. Pat's Fantasy Hotspot - Blog by Canadian reviewer Patrick St-Denis. Lots of good science fiction and fantasy reviews here.

  11. Science Fiction Writers of America - Lots of info about writing in the SF/F world.

  12. Go Fug Yourself - Hilarious site poking fun at the God-awful clothing celebrities wear. The writing is scathing and very funny.

  13. Ron Moore's Battlestar Galactica blog - Ron updates his blog even less frequently than I do, but I guess I can forgive him since he's created the greatest science fiction drama to ever grace the airwaves. Perhaps second only to Babylon Five, and that will only be determined by how BG finally ends.

  14. Television Without Pity - If you missed your favorite show, or just want to read a hilarious recap, this is the site for you.

  15. Miss Snark - Ah, Miss Snark! She is an anonymous literary agent dispensing snarky wisdom and juicy insider info about the publishing biz. If you're a writer -- or just interested in learning a bit about the trials and tribulations of being a literary agent in a really funny way -- you should check her out.
